Appliance Removal Singapore

Your Old Washing Machine Isn't Getting Any Lighter

A 70 kg front-loader wedged between the kitchen wall and a granite countertop. A fridge-freezer that's been in the same corner since 2009, its back panel fused to a layer of grease and dust. A window-unit air-con bolted into a frame two storeys up.

These aren't items you wrestle down to the void deck on a Saturday morning. In our 10+ years of clearing Singaporean homes, appliances consistently rank among the most awkward removals we handle — not because of weight alone, but because of tight clearances, plumbing connections, and the sheer bulk of white goods relative to HDB corridors and passenger lifts.

We take them out. You get your kitchen (or utility area, or bedroom) back.

Appliances We Clear

Our crew regularly removes:

  • Washing machines and dryers (front-load, top-load, washer-dryer combos)
  • Refrigerators and freezers of all sizes
  • Built-in and freestanding ovens
  • Gas and induction stove hobs
  • Air-conditioning units — wall-mounted indoor units and outdoor compressors
  • Storage and instant water heaters
  • Dishwashers
  • Countertop appliances in bulk (microwaves, air fryers, coffee machines) when part of a larger clearance

Whether it's a single washer or an entire kitchen's worth of ageing equipment, we'll quote based on photos you send over WhatsApp.

The Safety Boundary: Disconnect First, Then We Lift

We need to be upfront about scope. Our crew handles the physical removal and responsible routing of your appliances. What we don't do is disconnect gas lines, shut off water valves, or pull electrical wiring from junction boxes.

Before our arrival, you (or your electrician/plumber/aircon technician) should ensure:

  • Gas supply to stove hobs and ovens is shut off at the valve
  • Water inlet and drain hoses on washers and dishwashers are disconnected
  • Air-con refrigerant has been recovered by a qualified technician and copper piping is detached
  • Electrical connections are isolated — no live wires hanging from the wall

Once everything is safely disconnected and free-standing, we take it from there. This keeps the job safe for everyone and avoids delays on the day itself.

Where Do Old Appliances End Up?

Fridges contain refrigerant gases. Washing machines hold copper motors and steel drums. Air-con compressors are full of recoverable metals. None of this should end up in a general waste landfill without processing.

We route appliances through licensed intermediaries equipped to strip, sort, and recover materials — metals go to scrap recycling, hazardous components like refrigerants are handled by facilities with the proper certifications. We're not an NEA-licensed collector ourselves, but the downstream chain is set up to process e-waste responsibly.

HDB Logistics: No Service Lift, Real Corridors

HDB blocks don't have service lifts. Your old fridge rides the same passenger lift your neighbours use — which means timing, angle, and crew coordination matter. We've moved double-door fridges through standard HDB lift openings hundreds of times. It fits. Barely, sometimes, but it fits.

For walk-up blocks (typically four or five storeys, no lift), stair-carry surcharges apply. A 90 kg commercial-grade washer down four flights of narrow HDB stairwell is genuinely hard labour, and pricing reflects that. We'll confirm any surcharges at the quote stage so there are no surprises.

Quick Answers

Do you remove built-in ovens and hobs? Yes — provided they've been disconnected from gas and electrical supply. We'll pull the unit from its housing, handle any minor disassembly needed to get it through doorways, and take it away.

What about a full kitchen strip-out before renovation? We handle appliance removal and can clear cabinetry, countertops, and associated debris as part of a larger pre-renovation job. Send photos of the full scope and we'll quote accordingly.

Can you handle multi-split air-con systems (one outdoor unit, multiple indoor units)? Yes, as long as a qualified aircon technician has already recovered the refrigerant and disconnected all piping. We remove the wall-mounted indoor units, the outdoor compressor, and any brackets or mounting hardware.
